Our Story: Born from a Teacher’s Frustration
Grade Calc Pro started with a simple observation: teachers spend too much time calculating grades and not enough time actually teaching.
In 2023, our founder—a high school math teacher with 12 years of experience—found herself spending nearly 6 hours every week manually calculating test scores, converting percentages to letter grades, and double-checking her arithmetic. That’s 24 hours a month. Nearly 300 hours a year. Time that could have been spent lesson planning, providing personalized feedback, or simply having a better work-life balance.
One Sunday evening, while grading yet another stack of 150 algebra tests with a calculator and a conversion chart, she thought: “There has to be a better way.”
That moment of frustration became our mission. Grade Calc Pro was built by educators, for educators—and for the students who benefit when their teachers have more time and energy to invest in actual teaching.
What We Believe
